QUOTECHECK — BEFORE YOU SIGN CHECKLIST

Use this one-page checklist with the original quote and written contractor answers.
These are questions to resolve, not a certification that a contract or contractor is safe.

[ ] THE WORK: I understand the scope, materials and any explicit exclusions.
[ ] THE PRICE: The currency and tax treatment are clear. I have separated included allowances, unselected options and additional work.
[ ] THE PAYMENTS: I understand when deposits, progress payments and the balance are due.
[ ] THE CHANGES: I know how changes and extra charges will be approved in writing.
[ ] THE SCHEDULE: I have asked about start/completion timing and how delays will be handled.
[ ] THE RESPONSIBILITIES: Cleanup, protection, surface restoration and permit responsibilities are clear where relevant.
[ ] THE WARRANTIES: I can distinguish product/parts coverage from workmanship/labor coverage and know where the written conditions are.
[ ] THE CONTRACTOR: I have independently checked references and verified applicable credentials/insurance through appropriate local sources.
[ ] THE DOCUMENTS: I have the current quote, applicable amendments and written answers together. I have kept my own copy.

If a point remains unclear, ask for a written answer before deciding.
Missing wording is not proof that an item is excluded or will cost extra.
